Sesame Oil Chicken

It's a Confinement Dish

Making for 2 pax 


8 pieces of chicken wing drummettes
10 or more slices of ginger (thickness=2mm)

Seasoning A

2 tbsp Sesame oil
2 tbsp Dark Soya Sauce
3 tbsp Light Soya Sauce
1 tbsp Shitake Mushroom Sauce
1 tbsp Sugar
1 tsp Grated Ginger

Seasoning B

2 tbsp ShaoXing Wine or Rice Wine


  1. Mix well seasoning A in a separate bowl
  2. Marinate chicken with combined seasoning. Set aside
  3. Heat wok with 4 tbsp of sesame oil
  4. Add in ginger slice and stir fry till brown
  5. Add in chicken and marinate sauce. Stir fry chicken till fragrant and brown.
  6. Add in a cup of water and cook for 10 minutes till sauce thickens
  7. Add in wine.
  8. Garnish and serve
