Strawberries Moist Chocolate Cake

Superlicious Moist Chocolate Cake

 
 


This is my second time making birthday cake. This is for my sister in law, Miss Jam Jam. Chocolate is always her all time favorite. As per requested, I made her this Chocolate Moist Cake. I had a great compliments from her and her family. HAHAHA. She definitely had made my day. I always feel delighted when someone enjoyed my cooking and baking.



Back to my cake review, the cake recipe is worth trying. It is moist and spongy. During the assembly of the cake, there are some leftover of cake slicing, strawberries and Ganache. I used them in chocolate fondue. The cakes go well with strawberries. TADAAAA....YUMMY Chocolate Fondue!!!

 
 



Making of Moist Chocolate Cake

 
Ingredients:


1 1/4 cups sugar
1 cup canola oil
2 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup HOT coffee
2 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cups Hersheys unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups cake flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup sour cream

Method: 




  1. Preheat oven to 180 to 200 degrees.Grease and flour the 9x9 inch square baking tin
  2. Combine all dry ingredients except sugar in a bowl
  3. Combine sugar and oil in mixer
  4. Add eggs one at a time
  5. Add in slowly milk, coffee and vanilla extract.
  6. Add combined dry ingredients in portions at low speed.
  7. Add sour cream and stir to combine.
  8. Pour batter into baking tin
  9. Bake for 40 minutes and set aside to cool down


Making of Ganache Frosting

 
Ingredients:

250g Chocolate Dark Couverture
235ml heavy/double cream




Method:

Place the chopped chocolate into a bowl.
Heat the cream in a small sauce pan over medium heat.
Bring just to a boil.
When the cream has boiled, pour over the chopped chocolate, and whisk until smooth.
Set aside to cool before pouring over the cake

 
Note: Watch carefully because if it boils for a few seconds, it will boil out of the pot.

Ingredients

A box of strawberries (washed and sliced)
Ganache Frosting
